Join the Thompson Jazz Studies/CU Boulder Concert Jazz Ensemble for a joyful and swinging evening of the hippest holiday music ever! The “Nutcracker Suite” is Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn’s masterful arrangement of Tchaikovsky’s classic.
Selections include:
“Toot Toot Tootie Toot (Dance of the Reed-Pipes),” “Peanut Brittle Brigade (March),” “Sugar Rum Cherry (Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy),” “Danse of the Floreadores (Waltz of the Flowers),” “Arabesque Cookie (Arabian Dance)” and more.

This show is part of Dazzle’s large ensemble series, ‘Move To the Music’, which is supported by Denver Arts & Venues through a Five Points Jazz Activation grant.
