Tony Golden is a 20 year old Bassist and Composer from Denver, CO. He is currently studying at the Manhattan School of Music under Jay Anderson.
Tony has known he wanted to pursue a career in music his whole life, growing up with blues music playing around the house at all times thanks to his father. He received an electric bass from his parents for his 6th birthday and soon began studying privately with his uncle, who has been a part of the Denver music scene for decades. Throughout the years, Tony has been fortunate to study with artists such as John Clayton, John Patitucci, Ben Streete, Danilo Perez, Stefon Harris, and Elio Villafranca.
One idea that has always resonated deeply with Tony is the thought that Music has the power to change the world. With his music, Tony hopes to inspire joy and healing in listeners. If an impact is not made on the audience at the end of a performance, then what is the point of the performance. He hopes to spread a message of love and peace with his music and ideally, help to make the world a better place.
