Tobie Thiel – Love is Patient, Love is Kind
Couple’s Love Song: It’s your love, by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill
I was 12 years old when I met Pj. He was the cute older brother of my friend in middle school. I had the biggest crush on him, especially when he would break dance, which was my first time seeing that type of dance, I was blown away! We all would go to the skating rink on Friday nights, and about a half hour before they closed we took our skates off, went to the very back of the floor, and him and his brother would break dance for everyone. But, my chances with him were slim, as he was 4 years older than me, and had a girlfriend who was my other friends older sister. And of course, I was just the little sister’s dorky friend lol But for years after that, anytime I thought of breakdancing or seen it on tv, I always thought of PJ, I never forgot about him. Fast forward 10 years to the summer of 07′, we ran into each other at the local bar. I was getting out of a marriage, and so was he. We bonded immediately, mostly over music which is our heart and soul. We both grew up with our parents playing instruments and singing. PJ sang like an angel, also composed music, and I am singer as well. We began recording songs together, and our love took over. We became a couple October 07. We went on the host hip hop shows at local bars and clubs for 5 years, as well as performing together. One of our favorite songs to sing is It’s your love. The emotion that you feel and hear when Tim Mcgraw and Faith sing together is exactly how we both feel. It’s one of our favorite duets. He has 3 amazing kids, whom I love with all my heart. The relationship with his ex wife and her husband is none like any other. We all get along, support each other, and are a beautiful blended family. Every holiday, birthdays, and just because occasions we are together. The kids have 4 amazing parents, who love saying to everyone, my mom and step mom are besties, and my dad and step dad have a bromance lol. I couldn’t be happier or more blessed. If more couples who split would take the time to think of the kids when they divorce, instead of using them against each other, the world would be so much better, and filled with so much more love that our babies need. Pj and I have been through so much in the past 10 years together. Losing both of our dad’s, and dealing with other heartache loses. Raising teenagers who are on honor roll, but of course….are still teens learning how to function in this crazy world, and learning to love again after both having failing marriages because we were both very young. I want this wedding more than anything, not just to have a wedding. But to have the biggest celebration of our lives, and how we have both overcome so much together. We both want to buy a house, but the Denver market is crazy right now. There’s no way we can afford a wedding, and a new home. It would be so wonderful if we won this, please consider us.
